Looking at the rise of prices and budget of a single household in the state, the Government of West Bengal has decided to offer a helping hand in the financial expenditure of a family. This Lakhir Bhandar Prokolpo 2021 will help the female head of a family with financial support per month.

The female head of a family belonging to general caste category will receive an amount of rupees 500 and those belonging to the SC/ST caste category will be provided with 1000 rupees per month. This scheme is called the West Bengal Lakhmir Bhandar Prokolpo. This scheme has been launched keeping in mind the monthly expenses of a household which generally amounts to Rs. 5429 per month. So by providing this amount to the families, the Government can help to provide at least 10 to 20 % of financial assistance to each family. Approximately 1.6 crore families will benefit from this Lakhir Bhandar Prokolpo 2021. The amount will be directly deposited to the bank account of the beneficiary.
